Tyra Banks gets it--and she's decided to kick that awesomeness way, way up a notch. The CW announced last night that, along with renewing the ever-enduring reality franchise, the upcoming cycle will, for the first time ever, include male models. That's right: Half of Cycle 20's cast will be dudes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the boys and girls of Cycle 20 will be living co-ed style--adding some potentially awkward sexual tension to the whole Tyra Suite situation, a factor the show's been lacking ever since Shandi cheated on her boyfriend with a male model way back in Cycle 2. We kind of wish more than anything that the producers had saved that mother-loving crazy-pants Victoria for this upcoming cycle. Damnit, Tyra!
On a more business-oriented note, we're curious to see how the addition of boys affects the series's sponsorship deals and prizes, which currently include fronting campaigns for Smashbox Cosmetics and ANTM's perfume "Dream Come True." Perhaps Andrej Pejic will be brought on as a mentor...
