Drew Barrymore has been a long-time spokesperson for CoverGirl and did a stint as the face of Lancôme, but this news still took us a little bit by surprise: The actress is reportedly launching a makeup line with Wal-Mart.
The 37-year-old new mom’s contract with CoverGirl is supposedly up in January, though P&G (which owns CoverGirl), wouldn’t confirm either way, according to WWD. But the trade is reporting that Barrymore has been working with Italian company Intercos on a line of makeup, which will be exclusively available at Wal-Mart. This would be the actress’s first time venturing into the world of celeb beauty marketing–she’s never even had her own fragrance, which is pretty rare in this day and age. (She does, however, have her own wine. Go figure.)
When we think of Drew’s beauty look, we invariably think of her 90s boho schtick, with daisies in her hair and goth lipstick like this. But she obviously likes to experiment, taking risks and sometimes making mistakes, which has always made her really relatable.
