Perhaps one reason we’re so nostalgic for the era of the Supermodel is because we just don’t see enough of the models that we love today. Scoring a glossy cover used to be a huge coup for a model, but in recent years it’s just become another vehicle for a starlet to promote her latest project. Trust us when we say we’ve got nothing against Lady Gaga. Still, we couldn’t help but feel a slight sting of jealousy staring at the international September Vogues: Karlie, Lara, and Natasha just have the fashion edge on Mother Monster. If there are any EICs out there listening, throw us a bone – put models back your covers, please!
