What a cute way to start the morning! As was announced back in August, Barneys is giving Disney characters a high fashion makeover for its new "Electric Holiday" campaign and upcoming "moving art short." We've already seen what Minnie Mouse looks like as a svelte, 5'11," Lanvin-clad model, but what about what Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz looks like as a Disney character?
The answer: Jolly and adorable! WWD posted this line art drawing, which also features BryanBoy, Suzy Menkes, notoriously reclusive Steven Meisel, and Carine Roitfeld, all of whom look a bit villainous to us compared to Elbaz, who we guess is a bit cartoon-like to begin with (in the best way).
WWD reports that the short film, which centers around Minnie Mouse wanting to go to the Paris shows, will also star Franca Sozzani, Bridget Foley, Glenda Bailey, Carine Roitfeld, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Emmanuelle Alt. We sure could have used some silly Disney characters during this past drama-filled PFW, am I right? Speaking of which--no Disney-fied Cathy Horyn?
