“I went from wearing hoodies and jeans and being afraid to wear what I really want to wear on stage to like just dressing like a fucking girl and not like wanting to blend in with the guys so much. So for me it’s changed,” Plaza said, while uttering the final F-bomb of the night. “But I’m not sure about other people.”

So who are her favorite designers these days?

“I have so many,” Plaza admitted. “I love Phillip Lim and Celine and Derek Lam and Marc Jacobs.”

But, for this evening, she went with none of the above.

“This is actually Rachel Zoe,” she said while gesturing to her flirty nautical-inspired ensemble. “Yeah. I’ve never worn anything by her before, but I thought it would be fun to wear something girly and fun.”

There you have it: Funny girls can have it all.
