Aw, such happy news for a Friday morning: Tom Ford, 51, and his long-time partner Richard Buckley, 64, are dads!

LOVE broke the news to the world on twitter this morning: “Congratulations to Tom Ford and Richard Buckley who have announced the birth of their son Alexander John Buckley Ford”

A picture of a birth announcement is making its way around Twitter (see below), and puts the baby’s birth date as September 23–whether this is legit or not is unclear. If so, it’s amazing that fashion people have kept a secret that long.

Back in May when we caught Tom Ford’s convo with Fern Mallis at the 92 Street Y, he said, “I’ve always wanted children. I think I better get going soon, though, if I want to be able to pick them up.” We think he’s still pretty spry and can handle fatherhood just fine.

Skyler Berman better watch out though–little Alexander is going to be one sharply dressed kid. Do they make enough leather baby clothes? Tom Ford might just have to launch childrens…
