Those of you planning to dress up as Choupette for Halloween already have some competition--though it's not very strong.
On Monday night, Karl Lagerfeld was a guest on French talk show Le Grand Journal. Usually, it's Lagerfeld's bold remarks that catch our attention, but in this case, it was his silence that really made an impact as he was shouted at through a TV monitor by an adult man dressed in some sort of makeshift cat costume.
From what I can gather based on my high school French education and The Cut's summary, a man came on the screen to praise Lagerfeld and his cat, Choupette, with her many maids and Twitter followers. He then surprised Lagerfeld by turning the camera to his own "cat," nommé Chat Lagerfeld, who just started yelling things and apparently calling himself a ghetto cat, while Lagerfeld looked on in absolute disgust and horror. Garance Doré, who was also there, seemed to think it was pretty funny, though.
Watch below. Watch many times. It's transfixing.
