Sugar Inc. is looking for an experienced fashion editor to join our team as FabSugar Editor. Our ideal candidate has outstanding writing and editing skills, experience leading and mentoring a team, strong contacts in the fashion world and excellent planning and organizing skills. Responsibilities:
• Work with style director and editor in chief to hone and execute vision and voice of FabSugar
• Mentor and manage a team of four full-time editors
• Maintain FabSugar editorial calendar and lead high-level planning of monthly, weekly, and daily content
• Produce multiple pieces of standout content each day about fashion, trends, and shopping
• Line edit other FabSugar team members’ work on a daily basis and provide coaching and feedback
• Execute projects while leading staff across multiple cities/time zones
• Manage and contribute to audience and traffic growth through social media and other marketing activities
• Closely follow fashion-industry news and read all relevant fashion media
• Work occasional evenings and weekends to cover award shows, Fashion Week, and other major events as needed
• Attend and report on market and industry events as needed on camera appearances as needed

Required qualifications:
• 5-7 years of professional experience in fashion writing/editing/blogging, online publishing, or related field
• Experience editing and leading a team of writers
• Experience in and contacts throughout the fashion industry
• Strong knowledge of online and social media
• Ability to turn around tight, accurate copy while meeting and enforcing daily deadlines
• Willingness to appear on camera
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Intermediate to advanced HTML and Photoshop skills preferred
