Iris Apfel Even Accessorizes her Stuffed Animals

We're pretty sure we could listen to Iris Apfel talk, or just stare at her, all day. She is just such a fascinating creature--a fact she proves yet again in a video interview with Advanced Style's Ari Seth Cohen for The Avant Garde Diaries.

We're pretty sure we could listen to Iris Apfel talk, or just stare at her, all day. She is just such a fascinating creature--a fact she proves yet again in a video interview with Advanced Style's Ari Seth Cohen for The Avant Garde Diaries.

Cohen chats with Apfel in a New York apartment that was clearly decorated with the same maximalist eye she uses to dress herself, and her various stuffed animals, which are scattered throughout. "All my guys like jewelry you see and they get very jealous if I buy myself something and I don't buy them anything," she tells Cohen, "So sometimes they go to my jewelry box or my drawers and they take something that they like."

Sounds like a crazy fashion version of Toy Story! She apparently even has a song about her maximalist tendencies, which she sings with Neiman Marcus's Ken Downing, that goes: "More is more and less is a bore!"

A couple of other things we learned: she used to design textiles for the White House; and she loves caviar. Watch the full video below:
