Last night, as has become the norm for Target's increasingly high-profile collaboration launch events, well-dressed starlets and talented designers came together to greet each other, pose for photos, indulge in champagne and cocktails, and even shop.

The celebration was in honor of Target's collaboration with Neiman Marcus, the CFDA, and 24 of our favorite designers on a 50-piece collection of everything from pint-size Marchesa dresses to Band of Outsiders cookie cutters to Oscar de la Renta dog leashes. You can shop it at Target and Neiman's online and in store starting December 1.

"I think what's interesting about it is the enormous diversity of product," Neiman Marcus's fashion director Ken Downing told us last night. "A lot of people's anticipation was that because we went to fashion designers, it was going to be a lot of fashion, but we wanted to make sure there was a really lovely balance of mens, womens, children, home, even things for pets, like the Oscar de la Renta dog bowl, so I think it emotionally touches a lot of people. It's not just things you want to give for a gift--it's things you want for yourself."

It's true--I left with a Thom Browne blazer (great quality, FYI, though, there's a somewhat disturbingly large "Made in Taiwan" tag on the inside) and the Band of Outsiders "Best" and "Friends" beanie set. Other popular items seemed to be the cookie cutters, Altuzarra bar set, and Carolina Herrera laptop cases.

Target and Neiman Marcus also promoted the supercollab with a TV commercial starring model of the (every?) moment, Karlie Kloss, with whom we also caught up in the middle of the frenzied shopping crowd. As I held my iPhone practically above my head, Kloss told me about her ballet background and how that helped her get cast: "I think that one of the reasons I was cast was because of my dance background and that was the fun part of it. I got to dance around and play around and wear latex suits and pigtails and it was just a really fun shoot."

(Just in case you haven't seen it already.)

We also told her that we feel like everyone's going to start copying her new hairdo haircut (Edie Campbell maybe already has). Would she be weirded out or flattered? "I would be flattered. It's fun to change up your hair and do a cut."

Other shorter, but equally cute celebs at the event included Kate Bosworth, Zoe Saldana, Leighton Meester, Shay Mitchell, Allison Williams and more. Click through for pics!
