One Direction Fan Girls Show Style Devotion Despite the Freezing Rain

One Direction stopped by the Today Show today for a two-part concert series to promote their new album, Take Me Home--and where the boys go, so do their fans. We've already told you what these fanatics would wear on a fantasy date with the band members, and now we wanted to see what they would wear to meet their idols IRL. Would this morning's cold rain damper their fan girl style? Or would their One Direction infection be on full display?

First of all, you should know that these girls would put your love of the Backstreet Boys to shame. When I stopped by to check out the line on Sunday, it wrapped around to 6th Ave, and at the front were girls who had been camped out since Thursday. Thursday--a full five days before the concert.

Signs snapped towards the front of the line on Sunday afternoon.

This morning, before the first hour of the Today Show even kicked off, 15,000 girls (and their moms) packed Rockefeller Plaza--a record breaking number. Suddenly, there was an eruption of screams in our barricade. Was Harry waving from the window? Was Niall walking by? Nope. It was One Direction security manager Paul surveying the crowd. That is how dedicated these girls are: they are even fans of all the members of the boys' crew, including security detail and back-up band.

We hope you'll forgive us for calling your old fan girl style bush league, but these Directioners are on top of it. From trucker hats to face paint, these girls didn't let a little rain and cold get in the way of expressing their love of One Direction. Click through to see how they dressed up.
