Though it hasn't quite reached the meme status of Drunk Diane Sawyer, those who tuned in to watch Claire McCaskill accept her Missouri Senate appointment last night couldn't stop talking about her daughters.

First of all, both daughters, named Maddie and Lily, were hard to miss thanks to their gorgeous blond locks and on-trend bold red lipstick. Those Heidi braids and that super chic nude, black-belted pleated frock did not go unnoticed either, girls.

But, what was of particular interest--to Twitter users at least--was Daughter On the Left's confusing blue right sleeve situation. Buzzfeed Shift rounded up some of the best Tweets:

"Viewers at election HQ here puzzled about Claire McCaskill's daughter's one blue sleeve."-- Kenneth Baer (@KennethBaer)

"Claire McCaskill's daughter is so awkward. Why is her one sleeve blue?" --Becca Ginns (@bginns)

"I'm beyond fascinated by Claire McCaskill's daughter's braid and collared shirt situation. #2012election" -- Lauren Ober (@OberandOut)

The daughters also collected Chloe Sevigny comparisons left and right, an undeniable compliment that more than makes up for the somewhat harsh blue sleeve Tweets:

"Claire McCaskill's daughter is serving some real Chloe Sevigny vibes #victoryspeech" -- Zak Stone (@_zs) November 7, 2012

"Claire McCaskill's daughter is bringing 90s era Chloe Sevigny realness." -- Joshua Conkel (@JoshuaConkel)

"Claire Mccaskill's daughter is such a cute hipster. I hope she studies sculpture and listens to Catpower." -- Joshua Conkel (@JoshuaConkel)

"Debate as to whether McCaskill's daughter looks like a lost Streep girl/Leelee sobieski/or Sevigny." -- Esther Zuckerman ( @ezwrites)

We tried to find Daughter on the Left's curious sweater and while we were ultimately unsuccessful, we found some similar options here, here and here in case she's your new style icon and you want to emulate her immediately, or dress up as her for a rescheduled Halloween party this weekend.
