Peter Brant Responds to that Whole 'Kill Obama' Controversy, Says He Has 'No Intention of Killing Anyone'

Yesterday, the image at left--a screencap of a conversation between teen billionaire Peter Brant II and friend Andrew Warren--began circulating the internet after Brant posted it to Instagram. Understandably, people were pretty pissed. Peter, who has already become somewhat of a caricature in the fashion industry (and willingly so), came under fire as sites like Jezebel, Huffington Post, and The Cut picked up the story. We reached out to Brant to, well, explain himself.

Peter, who has already become somewhat of a caricature in the fashion industry (and willingly so), came under fire as sites like Jezebel, Huffington Post, and The Cut picked up the story.

We reached out to Brant to, well, explain himself.

Brant sent the following statement to us in an email:

"I would just like to say I never intended to offend everyone. I'm really not that political and after the election all my friends and I, republicans and democrats alike were instagramming political cartoons and poking fun at each other on Facebook. I didn't mean what I said, and obviously I have no intention of killing anyone, Obama is now our president and as such I support him. What Andrew and I said was stupid and I'm sorry to anyone we offended. This is a time when we need to be unified as a country and not let any petty stupid humor get in the way of that."

Petty stupid humor, indeed.

Peter signed off the email with: "P.S. don't you guys remember how much I support women! Human Bra strikes back."

Don't worry Peter, we haven't forgotten.
