Anna Wintour Catches Flack
Anna Wintour has been one of Obama’s most outspoken supporters. It was a video she recorded to “invite people” to one of her fundraising dinners that was met with an immediate backlash from Republicans, partly because it was released on Jobs Day, when the latest dismal unemployment figures were released. She also caught flack for the Runway to Win event she hosted with Scarlett Johansson. Critics have implied that Wintour’s involvement in the campaign made it elitist and went so far as to accuse the Obama campaign of violating campaign-finance rules.
