ALTUZARRA is looking for Marketing/ Design/ Sales Interns in NYC!



Luxury women’s ready-to-wear brand ALTUZARRA is looking for part-time and full-time interns beginning 01/10/2013 within their marketing and communications, design, and sales teams for the upcoming spring semester. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and team oriented environment in the lead-up to and after the Fall/Winter 2013 presentation during New York Fashion Week.

All applicants should currently live in the NYC area and have a strong familiarity of how to travel around the city.

TYPES OF INTERNSHIP POSITIONS
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist in coordination of sample trafficking
• Assist in showroom organization and inventory tracking
• Assist in website improvement and upkeep
• Assist in coordination of events including FW13 presentation
• Marketing competitive research
• Data gathering for current and upcoming social media platforms

Requirements:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge in current/upcoming social media platforms and researching online
• Knowledge in website/UX Design a plus
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills with innate attention to detail
• Previous experience with Fashion PR and editorial samples preferred but not required
• High level of professionalism
*All candidates should currently be pursuing or have a degree in marketing/communications in fashion or design and should be able to commit a minimum of three days per week for three months. School credit is available upon request.

DESIGN INTERN
We are looking for a dedicated intern to assist the studio design team in NYC. A fashion design background is NOT required- but we would like someone who is quick learning, adaptive and has a positive roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. A majority of the internship involves working directly with the design team primarily sourcing materials, delivering fabrics/trims, shipping packages (familiarity with Fed Ex) and organizing fabrics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assembling fabric and trim boards
• Research and source on trims/buttons, etc
• Maintaining fabric/trim librariesRequirements:
• Familiarity with NYC Garment District
• Photoshop/Illustrator skills (preferred but not required)
• Must be organized and able to multi-task

SALES INTERN
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist with fashion show, wholesale market meetings and sales presentations
• Update line sheets and showroom forms and organize showroom
• Compile weekly sales reports from top vendors for weekly meetings
• Daily office tasks

Requirements:
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs including but not limited to Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop
• Ability to thrive in fast paced environment
• Ability to retain information and complete tasks the first time it is assigned
• Availability to intern at least 3 days a week (part time ok)
