Betsey Johnson

Fashionista: Explain this photo for us. Betsey Johnson: Me and my best friend/partner Chantal hanging out in our showroom in 1995. We used to send this photo as our holiday card every year.

What are you were wearing? My sparkly knit zip-up jacket and my favorite second skins.

What was the most memorable gift you've ever received? My most wonderful gift ever is my fabulous daughter Lulu and my two granddaughters, Layla and Ella. I love when they make me homemade gifts...oh and that Rolex my ex gave me.

Tell us about the worst gift you've ever received. My ex-boss gave me a car once and then two weeks later took it back.

What's the most memorable gift you've ever given? Breast cancer charity donations.

Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? When I've forced people to, YES!

And what's that one gift that keeps on giving? A steady paycheck and true love.

Simon Doonan

Fashionista: Explain this photo for us. Simon Doonan: It was the mid 80's. I was on a cheapo Christmas holiday getaway package to Spain with my pal Gill, who has a fierce Suzy Menkes sausage hairdo which has wilted slightly. Gill worked for Zandra Rhodes for years. We both have hangovers.

What are you wearing? I am wearing Stephen Sprouse lycra and scrunch socks and Doc Martens. Just a typical beach outfit.

What was the most memorable gift you've ever received? My Jonny gave me a Ron Galella photo of Sammy Davis Junior in a chinchilla coat. Hello!

Tell us about the worst gift you've ever received. My uncle bought me a truck when I was five. I wanted a doll. Even Helen Keller knew that.

What's the most memorable gift you've ever given? My pal Biddie - aka James Biddlecombe an amazing performer in the UK and my childhood best friend - gave me a bundle of letters which I wrote to him in the 70's. They are obscene and hilarious. I cannot believe people used to write letters.

Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? Yes. By my husbear of 18 years, Jonathan Adler.

And what's that one gift that keeps on giving? My husbear of 18 years, Jonathan Adler.

Erin Beatty of Suno

Fashionista: Explain this photo for us. Erin Beatty: This is me at nearly two years old, at my grandmother's house the night before Christmas.

What are you wearing? Apparently a Christmas dress and my Buster Browns.

What was the most memorable gift you've ever received? Certainly not my best gift, but most memorable was this microphone toy in the '80s called the Star Stage. It was like a karaoke machine that didn't play music, but did have weird lights that were meant to look like spotlights. I remember it mainly because it was given to me broken, with a note from Rudolph blaming Dancer.

What's the most memorable gift you've ever given? I once asked jewelry designer Lizzie Fortunato if she would make my sister a personalized necklace, which she did. It was amazing - and Piper loved it.

Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? No!

And what's that one gift that keeps on giving? I don’t know, maybe a puppy.

Michelle Smith of Milly

Fashionista: Explain this photo for us. Michelle Smith: This photo is from Christmas morning, when I was 2 or 3. I was clearly a trendsetter before Princess Leia’s hairstyle was de rigueur! What are you wearing? I’m wearing a Polly Flinders classic smock dress. This is proof fashion is cyclical, as Peter Pan collars are back. All of the girls in our office are fighting over the Milly Jewel Trim

Timo Weiland

Fashionista: Explain this photo for us. Timo Weiland: I am creating my look for a 2nd grade Thanksgiving Day play entitled "Teach a Man to Fish" (very Christopher Guest).

What are you wearing? Native American costume made of construction paper.

What was the most memorable gift you've ever been given? My first surfboard, Jimbo.

Tell us about the worst gift you've ever received. Some scratchy polyester briefs + sock twin set (uncomfortable!).

What's the most memorable gift you've ever given? A handmade stained-glass monkey lamp that Dad and I made for each family member.

Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? Yes--the "mistletoe foyer" is a catchall at our annual holiday bash in my apartment!

And what's that one gift that keeps on giving? Mary Jane candles from Colette in Paris!

Kimberly Ovitz

Fashionista: Explain this photo for us. Kimberly Ovitz: I was in Snowmass Colorado where my family went every year for Hannukah/Christmas. I think I was 3 playing in the snow.

What are you wearing? I’m wearing a red beanie, and heather grey sweat suit, off white gloves and some horrible pink 80's snow boots with hearts. This was definitely the last time I wore pink.

What was the most memorable gift you've ever received? I was given money to donate to my favorite animal welfare charity.

Tell us about the worst gift you've ever received. I always appreciated any gift if it was thoughtful.

What's the most memorable gift you've ever given? I saved a dog from the pound for my mom one year after hers passed away.

Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? Nope.

And what's that one gift that keeps on giving? Love.

Ann Yee

Fashionista: Explain this photo for us. Ann Yee: This was taken at my family's Chinese restaurant when I was 8 years old. It was a tradition every year to get a photo taken in front of the tree.

What are you wearing? Can we say plaid overload? I remember loving this little number and thinking it was extra special because it came with a matching beret. I would totally break out the capelet and beret if I still had it.

What was the most memorable gift you've ever received? My first Discman.

Tell us about the worst gift you've ever received. I'm pretty lucky because I've never really received any horrendous gifts, but one that was pretty bad were these lll-fitting jeans that were the worst wash ever. They were supposed to be high-waisted, but the rise was way too short. They also still had the sensor tag on them!

What's the most memorable gift you've ever given? It's actually the most memorable because I wasn't ever able to give it. I had bought a great stock pot for my mother, since she loves making soup. I wrapped it, and stuck in under the tree in the photo (bad idea). A customer ended up stealing it so I wasn't ever able to give it to my mom. I was so upset! I think I must've been 7 or 8 years old. Needless to say, we never placed actual presents under the restaurant tree ever again.

Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? Yes!

And what's that one gift that keeps on giving? Supportive family and friends.
