Kookies for a Kause

Here’s a food and fashion pairing we didn’t even have to dream up. As if we didn’t have enough reasons to love Karlie Kloss, she’s decided to make a real go of Karlie’s Kookies, launching her second cookie, 5boro. Like its predecessor, the Perfect 10, it’s gluten-free and a portion of the sales for each kookie benefits FEED, the non-profit founded by Lauren Bush Lauren, that fights world hunger and malnutrition.

The dense chocolate-y follow-up (seriously, it tastes like a brownie) is also produced with Christina Tosi of Momofuku Milk Bar. At the FEED cookie decorating party last week, as Karlie adorably complimented me on my manicure and made Perfect 10 kookie men, she told me her hopes that Karlie’s Kookie replaces the fruitcake as the holiday dessert gift of choice. Karlie’s jetting off to St. Barts for New Year’s Eve and if you’re lucky enough to be like her and go somewhere exotic, this FEED India tote bag is handmade by artisans, with cheery contrasting fish and hedgehog patterns. Each FEED India bag provides 50 school meals.
