Guess vs. Gucci
The three-year-long trademark battle between Gucci and Guess over a logo and diamond pattern finally came to an end this year with Gucci named the winner. Why did it take so long to come to a conclusion when the Guess shoe-in-question was such an obvious knock-off? Lots of things: Evidence of a “massive knockoff scheme,” lawyers forgetting to renew their bar memberships, and even actual tears.
