When Maison Kitsuné hit the United States this past April with a store inside New York’s NoMad Hotel, fashionistas rejoiced. The French label, beloved by cool kids like Chloë Sevigny, was a hit–quickly finding itself on the pages of Vogue and GQ. Then came word that the brand’s co-founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki had been named Petit Bateau’s first artistic directors, with their first collection launching in fall 2013. Before that happens though, the duo will tackle the honor of being this season’s guest designers at Pitti W with a splashy, undoubtedly fantastique presentation.
