For all of the revolving doors in fashion this year, just as many rumors followed. But consistently, one name was floated for every job, investment, and whisper mentioned in the news: British fashion darling, Christopher Kane. From the token Schiaparelli job to a convincing argument that he was in at Balenciaga, Kane was reportedly considered for multiple big-name positions this year. While none of the rumors actually materialized, Kane did in fact abdicate his responsibilities as creative director at Versus and is still up for a reported investment from PPR.
