The spring 2013 Valentino campaign is decidedly more winter wonderland than warm spring breezes, but it’s working for us.
Photographer Sarah Moon shot the gauzy, frosty campaign at the Studio Rouchon in Paris, according to WWD. Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino’s co-creative director told the trade, “Every one of her pictures is like a movie scene. They convey the suspended moment of a story and evoke an expressive urgency.”
The campaign features models Codie Young, Magdalena Jasek, Mackenzie Drazan, Tilda Lindstam, Maud Welzen and Esther Heesch looking quite ice princess-y in transparent trench coats and accessories adorned liberally with Valentino’s blockbuster ‘Rockstud’ motif. The ads are a bit blurry, and that’s by design. Maybe to give them a more dream-like quality?
We’re definitely dreaming of Rockstud anything for spring.
