Beyonce might be making an encore appearance on the cover of Vogue this coming year.
According to the Daily News, ‘sources’ say the songstress was shot by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue‘s March 2013 issue.
While this is still just a rumor–and the source is dubious at best–here’s why we think it could be true. First of all, Beyonce is set to perform at the 2013 Superbowl in early February–right around when Vogue‘s March issue would drop, making her a timely choice for the cover. And her new album, set to be released sometime in 2013, with blockbuster collaborators like The-Dream, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and hubby, Jay-Z, also sweetens the deal for the glossy.
Plus, for the past two years, whether coincidentally or not, Vogue has featured young female songstresses on it’s March issue (first Lady Gaga, then Adele), a mold which Beyonce (obviously) fits. Finally, Beyonce and her adorable family have yet to be featured in a magazine spread, and somehow we feel like a Vogue exclusive could be in order.
If this rumor does turn out to be true, let’s hope Beyonce’s second Vogue cover goes over a little better than her first did.
