260 SAMPLE SALE specializes in running one-day to one-week sales for highly reputable apparel, accessory, and jewelry designers. Our two showrooms are located on Fifth Avenue near the Garment District. The best fashion houses continue to turn to our company for their sample sales. Our client list includes such premium designers as DVF, La Perla, Zadig et Volatire, Gant, Botkier, Hugo Boss, Rebecca Minkoff, J Crew, and DKNY.
General Purpose:
Maintain the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources role: administration of staffing process, Human Resource Information System (HRIS), employee relations, scheduling, training and on-boarding for two high profile retail/sample sale stores.
Position Tasks and Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):
• Recruiting and staffing process
• Employee on-boarding
• Complex scheduling of staff and shift changes
• Monitor time cards daily and review weekly payroll for accuracy
• Maintenance of forms and revisions as necessary
• Maintain a presence with employees
• Assist Managers with workforce evaluations
• Development of a superior workforce: elevate yourself and workforce quality as a whole
• Research and maintain compliance to labor laws and regulations
• Policy development and documentation as needed
• Undertake special projects as required
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience
• Associate’s Degree
• Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• HR Software
• Excellent customer service skills working with diverse backgrounds
• Articulate, outgoing, professional in demeanor and appearance
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess and exude a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to prioritize projects and tasks while remaining productive and professional
• Creative, detail oriented, and organized
• Capable of meeting established deadlines
• Self-starter with a willingness and enthusiasm for taking on additional responsibility
• Independent thinking and problem solving capabilities
• Conflict management and resolution
• Knowledge of federal, state and local employee laws and regulations
• Knowledge of Fashion industry a HUGE plus
