Claire Danes had one of our favorite looks at last night's SAG Awards--though it wasn't necessarily because of her dress.

Our love for Danes's lipstick might have something to do with our love for My So Called Life--that other show Danes won so many awards for. Anyone else getting major Angela Chase vibes? In fact, we did some digging and found that Danes wore a near-identical beauty look to the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards, shortly after My So Called Life wrapped. (Also: Danes apparently doesn't age).

Danes's lipstick, in all its '90s glory, was the perfect finishing touch to her SAG look--and an unexpected (but welcome) variation on the ubiquituous nude or classic red lip. A press release just landed in our inbox detailing how Matin Maulawizada, Global Artistry Director for Laura Mercier, created Danes's beauty look.

The secret to those MYSCL-nostalgia-inducing lips, right this way:

• Step one: Laura Mercier Lip Silk ($22) to smooth and nourish the lips. • Step two: Danes's lips were "contoured and shaded" using Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Coffee Bean ($20) followed by Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Deep Wine ($20).

There you go.
