First Look: White House Black Market's Inauguration-Inspired Dress Collection

While we're betting Michelle Obama will go for high-end glamor on Inauguration Day (we predict either Michael Kors or Jason Wu), at least one high street retailer is throwing its name in the ring... sort of. White House Black Market, a brand the First Lady has worn in the past, is launching an inauguration-inspired collection of dresses this Friday.

While we're betting Michelle Obama will go for high-end glamor on Inauguration Day (we predict either Michael Kors or Jason Wu), at least one high street retailer is throwing its name in the ring... sort of.

White House Black Market, a brand the First Lady has worn in the past, is launching an inauguration-inspired collection of dresses this Friday at seven of its Beltway area stores and online.

Though we doubt the collection is actually meant for MObama, it'll certainly come in handy for D.C.-area shoppers, some of whom will no doubt be attending the 45 plus balls held in honor of the President's Inauguration on January 21. The collection includes nine dress styles ranging in price from $250 to $300. From what we can tell from the preview image, the frocks will be minimalist, streamlined and slightly conservative--perfect for a political shindig.
