Marnie Gets Fired in a Sheath
Ignoring Allison Williams‘ drastic weight loss for a second, let’s talk about the super-grown up Black Halo (we’re guessing) belted sheath dress, paired with 4-inch pumps, she wears walking back from the lunch in which her boss forgot to tell her she’s fired.

We thought Marnie, who worked in a gallery, was supposed to be a younger, cooler, realistic, Brooklyn-habitating version of SATC’s Charlotte York. Here, she just looks like Charlotte York. Even her boss is dressed much more casually. We don’t know anyone who would dress like that for work unless they had to. Then again, Marnie is basically infamous for dressing inappropriately for most occasions, so maybe this is supposed to be an instance of that? Anyway, it will be interesting to she if she starts to dress any differently now that she’s jobless.
