Givenchy Rumored To Be Is Not Dressing Beyoncé, Destiny's Child for the Superbowl [UPDATED]

We've got a fresh Beyoncé rumor to report--and this one has nothing to do with whether or not she lip synced the national anthem at Monday's inauguration (we're still refusing to believe that she did).

We've got a fresh Beyoncé rumor to report--and this one has nothing to do with whether or not she lip synced the national anthem at Monday's inauguration (we're still refusing to believe she did).

Anna Dello Russo took to her blog today to announce that Givenchy is rumored to be creating custom costumes for Beyoncé and Destiny's Child for the Superbowl halftime show.

Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci created one-of-a-kind couture outfits for Madonna's halftime show last year. (Remember those crazy Cleopatra-gone-Gladiator costumes?)

We're not sure how likely it is that the designer to do a repeat performance--but then, we thought the same thing about the First Lady's Inaugural gown, so we could be wrong. And since we already know from Madonna's performance that Tisci can create one hell of a stage costume, it would make sense that Beyonce would want to work with him.

Beyonce has previously performed in costumes by edgy designers like Mugler and Gareth Pugh, so no matter who she's wearing come February 3, we're sure it will be good.

Update: Anna Dello Russo has since pulled the post from her blog and we've confirmed from a source that there's absolutely no truth to this rumor.
