This may sound a little crazy, but here’s why it makes sense: Banks’s debut album comes out this year; Vogue seems to like musicians (it featured three on the cover last year); she took the fashion world by storm last year, performed at the Met Ball, and aligned herself with Alexander Wang, whose name will be on everyone’s tongue in 2013 as he prepares to make his debut at Balenciaga. Then again, given what Banks has been saying about the fashion industry lately, she may not be that into a Vogue cover.
