Jay Godfrey is looking for a Fashion Design Intern to help us part time and/or year round. We are seeking college fashion design students or recent graduate at all levels. It’s a rare opportunity to be able to work hands on with the designers from concept to production and grow your skills for future success. Must be available 3-5 days per week. This position is for IMMEDIATE HIRE!

Responsibilities include:
• Assist in creating & updating flat sketches & illustrations (with direction from designer) using a template by hand or computer
• Research and sourcing color swatches , fabrics & trims from local vendors
• Assist with organizational tasks such as creating seasonal mood boards, color palettes, and organizing fabrics
• Assist in preparing print development packages, art layouts & detail pages using Photoshop
• Assist in updating seasonal line-sheets using PowerPoint/Photoshop/Illustrator
• Assist in taking line-sheet photos with designer
• Assist in steaming garments & dressing model for Photo shoots & Market appointments
• Pattern-making & sewing skills are a plus

Qualifications:
• Organized, detail-oriented
• Eagerness to learn about retail & fashion
• Enthusiasm and great attitude
• A strong liking & understanding of who the Jay Godfrey customer is
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint are a plus
