The mealy-mouthed Sir Anthony jilts Lady Edith at the altar, but before we get to her nervous breakdown, which involves throwing her veil over the balcony (can you really blame her?), let’s discuss how lovely she looks. I think I like her dress better than Lady Mary’s–it’s shinier!
Costume designer Caroline McCall told Elle UK that she chose a Grecian style dress because it “suited her figure perfectly.” The wedding tiara matched the motif on the train, an antique piece that was the starting point for the whole dress.
Poor Lady Edith. We have a feeling she’s going to show them all how fabulous she is, though.
