Makeup (Mally Roncal): Here are reasons why Mally cosmetics founder Mally Roncal is awesome: She peppers her speech with bon mots like, “Beyoncé taught me that it’s all about the big earring for daytime,” and describes looks as, “It’s an intentional f*cked up eye look.” She was referring to an opaque black eye, swept out with little feathery swipes of the deepest black eyeliner. After sweeping the opaque black shade from Mally’s City Chicks palette in SoHo Silver, Mally bent a mascara wand at a right angle and liberally dipped it into her Cream Gel Eyeliner. She used tiny flicking motions to drag the color individually out, creating whispery thin smudges, tailoring the magnitude to each model. Just the thing for the “quintessential New York girl that doesn’t “give a shit what you think.”

Hair (Jeanette Syfu for TreSemme): A girl with places to go and things to see, whose hair gets naturally disheveled through the course of the day (so like, us, everyday.) Syfu did a deep side part held in place with a set of bobby pins, spray painted matte black.

Nails (Tracylee for Sally Hansen): A green/blue turquoise (New Age Blue) edged with a perimeter of gold (Wedding Glitters) across the left, right, and moon of the nail.
