If Katniss Everdeen lived in our world she might look into wearing a few pieces from Charlotte Ronson’s fall 2013 collection. The presentation had plenty of outfits tailor made for a girl on the hunt for an adventure in the woods. Ronson’s girl was rugged, and she was looking to get dirty without compromising style.
Strong looks included Ronson’s use of plaids seen in a pullover and plaid pants, paired with a very cool plaid canteen, to boot.
Ronson continued to play with plaid in jackets, asymmetrical dresses, and mini skirts. These looks were contrasted with a flirty kaleidoscope floral day dress with a matching kaleidoscope floral mini backpack.
Outerwear came in statement pieces like a red and black jacquard smoking jacket paired together with a slick cigarette pant. Another was a purple leather tea dress that looked sexy, yet seemed just a little out of place.
Though the collection was definitely wearable–and many pieces well-tailored–it wasn’t as cohesive as we would have preferred. In fact, we surmised that if Everdeen ever did browse through this collection she’d be bound to get lost in the excess. She wouldn’t be alone.
