Jennifer Lawrence vs. Carrie Bradshaw: The 'I Fell in Dior' Edition

Jennifer Lawrence survived every actress's worst nightmare last night when she fell in her Dior couture gown on the way to accept her Best Actress Oscar. (Those Dior gowns are tricky!) But JLaw was not the first woman to have an embarrassing fall in Dior; that honor goes to Carrie Bradshaw.

Jennifer Lawrence survived every actress's worst nightmare last night when she fell in her Dior couture gown on the way to accept her Best Actress Oscar. (Those Dior gowns are tricky!)

But JLaw was not the first woman to have an embarrassing fall in Dior; that honor goes to Carrie Bradshaw.

Who could forget the moment where Carrie enters Dior's iconic Avenue Montaigne boutique, only to slip in a puddle of water and go flying across the shop? (If you have forgotten, we've got the video below to jog your memory.)

"I fell," she says simply to the Russian when she returns from her shopping trip. "I fell in Dior. So I decided that the more I purchased the less they'd think of me as the American who fell in Dior."

Jennifer's fall was considerably more graceful than Carrie's, and of course the actress, who could charm her way out of pretty much anything, won the audience over by having a great sense of humor about the whole thing.

We'd say this is another win for Jennifer.
