KAS New York Seeks A Merchandise & Design Associate In NYC!



KAS New York is a contemporary women’s wear label selling in luxury stores such as Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales. You will be reporting directly to the creative director and owner, Kirat Anand. You will be working within an entrepreneurial, young environment, that is open to innovation and thinking out of the box.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Merchandise & Design
- conceptualise and execute the brand’s visual merchandising projects, i.e. look books and line sheets
- provide feedback to creative team in merchandise and design meetings
- comp shop both target stores and competitive collections
Account management
- manage existing and research and reach out to new speciality store accounts
- work with corporate warehouse production allocation team
- schedule and part take in showroom and tradeshow appointments (i.e. Fashion Coterie and other regional and international shows)
Marketing
- create campaigns with PR team for social media and B to B marketing
- attend PR/editorial appointments with head designer

Requirements
• Skill sets: Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills, Team player, Self-motivator, Able to multitask
• Strategic and analytical thinker with a willingness to roll- up sleeves and implement initiatives at a grass roots level
• Strong interest in fashion with the ability to recognize and translate fashion trends
• Able to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective solutions
• Proficient in Photoshop, Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
• Plus if experience in the contemporary ready to wear market
• Plus if established relationships with specialty stores, department stores, online retailers and international accounts
