I go through phases with bags. I’ve really given those oversized clutches a go. But for sheer practicality, I always come back to my classic Coach duffle.
I have two even.
I have an original one from the Bonnie Cashin-era in brown leather that I found at a thrift store years ago and it still looks good after years of being beat up and worn in the rain, and a newer re-issued one in black.
Being a working person in a city without a car means schlepping a lot of stuff around. These bags are big enough to carry everything I need–yoga clothes, lunch, computer, magazines, etc.,–without necessitating that second tote bag.
