Sure, all the fashion cities bring something innovative and new to the table during fashion season, but none do it so well or so often as the hair and makeup pros at the Paris collections. We always expect to see a combination of classic expertise and artsy experimentation when it comes to the makeup looks, and this season was no exception.

Dries Van Noten "Ear Cuff":

Peter Philips gave nine of the models at the Dries show faux ear cuffs, which were not actually cuffs at all, but rather huge crystals meticulously glued on the ear in a mosaic pattern. (Now if only we could figure out how to DIY our own Rodarte dragon ear cuff from the spring 2013 show!)

Gareth Pugh "Zombré" Nails:

Yes, Cher was at the show, but can we talk about these nails for a sec? Nail artist Marian Newman did this goth ombre (I'm calling it "zombré" based on the very undead beauty look in general), and rubbed actual graphite into the models' knuckles and cuticles. Dark.

Rick Owens's Explosive Hair:

The only thing that could possibly distract us from Owens's covetable coats this season? That enormous, fly-away hair. Luigi Murenu used no less than three different crimping irons and no styling products to get the look.

Chanel's Glitter Eyes:

Once again, Peter Philips went crazy with glue and sparkly things for this look. He glued large glitter particles to the eyelids and lashes for a twinkling effect on the runway.

Dior's Whole Face:

This look combines two of my all-time favorite colors, silver and bright pink, in the prettiest way possible. Pat McGrath said Raf Simons wanted the lipstick to be faded, so she gave the lips a "blooming rose effect," according to Style.com by smudging a fuchsia lip with foundation around the edges. Top it all off with a futuristic silver cat eye and you have one stunning look.

Givenchy's Rose Hair:

Luigi Murenu killed it with this hair, which were not wigs, but rather the models' own hair done up in a zillion pin curl rosettes and colored. It wins for most memorable hair of fashion month.

Haider Ackermann's Root-Heavy Hair:

This is an amazing combo of grunge and punk hair, and also makes me feel better about the roots I currently have showing on my platinum chop. In this case Eugene Souleiman put the models in wigs and brushed black powder "roots" onto them.

Anthony Vaccarello's Matchy-Matchy Makeup and Mani:

Proving that berry is indeed a color that looks good on every skin tone, Tom Pecheux put it on the lips, eyes and even nails (with an enchanting silver half moon for good measure.)

Miu Miu's Lips:

The lipliner is so sharp on these ombré wine-colored lips that it almost looks painful.

Viktor & Rolf Braids:

Yes, we've all seen complicated Heidi braids backstage. But this one looks different somehow. The messiness and double crisscrossing braids make us want to run out and try it at home.
