Hannah’s DIY Haircut
Instead of taking her medication and writing about “a friendship between college girls,” Hannah decides she can make herself look like Carey Mulligan (in an Elle article about “Short N’ Gorgeous” crops) with a pair of regular scissors and a little help from Laird, whom we love for telling Hannah she still looks like “her voluptuous self” and that she’s “the most self-involved, presumptuous person I have ever met.”
Also, now we know Lena Dunham’s haircut was written into the script, or was it? She gave us a big hint back in September when she revealed her new ‘do and told us, at a Rachel Antonoff presentation, “So, I am embarrassed to say because it sounds so trite, but I looked at a picture of Carey Mulligan and then just went for it, but no one is doing it better than her so why not.” Oh, and The Cut has learned that Dunham is growing out her hair for season three.
