Oh, Chanel. Season after season you give us the best sets, the best accessories, and yes... the best beauty. Fall 2013 was no exception. Former Chanel creative director (now freelancing) Peter Philips came up with yet another original runway look.
Oh, and he also snuck in a peek at a new Chanel polish. Unlike the nail color at the spring haute couture show--which was already available to purchase--you'll have to wait for fall for the creamy pinky-red "Elixir," according to Allure.
As far as the rest of the beauty look, Philips glued large flecks of glitter to the lids for a twinkly effect on the runway, with a slick of black liner on the lower lids as a counterpoint.
High fashion makeup artists are loving DIY crafty looks lately. Pat McGrath glued crystals all over the models' eyes at Dior last season and the lips at couture, and Philips did bejeweled eyebrows at Chanel for fall 2012. Is face art the new nail art? Probably not... but it's very fun to look at.
