It seems Topshop is becoming Kate Middleton's go-to store for cool maternity wear--even if the styles aren't necessarily made with pregnant women in mind.
The duchess stopped by the fast fashion chain a few times earlier this month, picking up, among other things, a non-maternity Lovestruck dress, which helped crash the indie retailer's site. Now, Topshop should get a nice baby bump (sorry, had to) in traffic, thanks to Middleton's recent public appearance visiting the Child Bereavement UK headquarters yesterday, where, according to InStyle, she wore a Peter Pan collar dress from Topshop, and a collarless Goat coat.
We weren't able to find the exact dress online, but we did see (and almost purchase!) the style in store last week. There is, however, a similar version currently for sale on the retailer's U.K. site. We expect it will fly off shelves.
Middleton made another appearance today to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground. The duchess looked impossibly chic (if a bit out of place) riding the subway in a teal coat from By Malene Birger and one of her beloved fasteners. She also received a 'Baby on Board' pin to wear from a fan. Awww.
One thing to note about Kate Middleton's pregnancy wardrobe thus far is that while the duchess has been shopping for new clothes, she's yet to sport an item that's designed to be maternity wear. Neither, for that matter, has prego Kim Kardashian. Considering that a pregnant belly is no longer seen as something to hide, and that stretchy/roomy clothes are now totally acceptable to wear for non-pregnant folk, it seems strictly 'maternity wear' may be on it's way out. At least for celeb moms-to-be.
