Having already pretty well conquered the internet and social media, Man Repeller Leandra Medine has set her sights on your book shelf. Or your Kindle library. Whatever.
Unsurprisingly, it looks pretty awesome--and very Man Repeller-y. I mean she's wearing overalls on the cover!
"The overalls fit me like a ski suit and it seemed silly not to put that on my book cover," Medine told us.
According to Amazon's description, the book's essays will "explore the deep connection between our memories and the sartorial choices associated with them."
"From The Bermuda Shorts to The Magical Harem Pants, Medine relates with wit how she navigated her way into the most unusual item of all: The Inconsequential Big White Dress (And Organza Jacket). That's right, even the MAN REPELLER found love. This book is a collection of awkwardly funny experiences, a sweet love story, and above all, a reminder to celebrate and embrace a world made for women, by women."
And after having a conversation with Medine a few weeks ago about how periods still ruin our clothes, we had to ask, if any period mishaps (Say Anything-style) would be one of those "awkwardly funny experiences" in the book.
"There are several period pieces interspersed through the book," she said. "I probably should have called it Man Repeller: A Sad Periodical."
Now this is a blogger slash career move we can get behind 100%.
Man Repeller: Seeking Love. Finding Overalls comes out September 10, 2013 and is available for pre-order on Amazon now.
