Moda Operandi CEO Aslaug Magnusdottir is rumored to be leaving the company she cofounded with Lauren Santo Domingo.

Page Six is reporting that Magnusdottir is leaving following a rift with Santo Domingo. The gossip column quotes a source as saying Santo Domingo "felt Aslaug wasn’t hip and cool enough.”

We've reached out to Moda Operandi for confirmation and will update when we hear back.

The luxury ecommerce site was the sponsor of this year's Met Gala. Magnusdottir was photographed on the red carpet for last week's event, so the split is either quite new, or Magnusdottir was keeping up appearances. Magnusdottir is still listed as Moda Operandi's co-founder and CEO on the site's "About Us" page.

It's worth noting though, that during Moda's press blitz to promote its sponsorship of the Met Gala, we saw very little of Magnusdottir. Lauren Santo Domingo was the face of the brand, doing television spots on Access Hollywood the day after the gala, and Indre Rockefeller, Moda Operandi’s director of ready-to-wear, spoke to us about the site's spotlight program (which lets shoppers buy looks that appear on the red carpet) and did a photo diary of her Met gala experience for the Telegraph.
