Coty Inc, the beauty behemoth behind pretty much every blockbuster scent, is finally going public, WWD is reporting.
According to sources “close to the situation,” the company, best known for their celebrity perfumes like Lady Gaga’s Fame and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely, as well as designer fragrances like Calvin Klein’s CK One and Marc Jacobs‘ Daisy, filed an application for an initial public offering today. The IPO is valued at $700 million.
That means it’ll be debuting on the market relatively soon–and considering the beauty industry’s robust health, and the trail blazed by labels like Michael Kors, we have a feeling it’ll be a hit with investors. Stay tuned.
