He/she will work directly with the Director of Operations and given the early stage and dynamic nature of ModeWalk, this position promises growth opportunities within the company and great learning opportunities.
Purpose and Scope: He/she will be responsible for overseeing the organization, neatness, and maintenance of a luxury retail ecommerce company's stockroom where all merchandise is stored.
Responsibilities: • Ensure proper stockroom setup and maintenance and that the stockroom is neat, clean, and organized. • Visually check all incoming stock shipments to verify quantity and for any damage to package or contents before receiving inbound shipments in accordance with Company's Retail Operations Policies and Procedures. • Ensure that all materials in stockroom are properly packaged or repackaged. • Constantly maintain quality check of all items in the stockroom. • Package merchandise when they leave the stockroom and reorganize them when they arrive back in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Company's Retail Operations Policies and Procedures. • Assist with preparing items in a luxury packaged manner to be shipped out to customers. • Maintain neat, orderly, and accessible product storage areas. • Assist stylists with pull requests, deliveries and pickups. • Periodically check inventory status in the stockroom against that at ModeWalk.com.
Education and Experience Requirements: • Driver's license and comfort with driving is required. Company shall provide the car for transportation of products when needed in this position. • Requirement to work in Burlingame office with frequent travels to San Francisco for dropping off or picking up merchandise using the car provided by Company through Zipcar or a similar provider. • Comfort with some physical work associated with organizing and transporting fashion products. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Experience in apparel, home goods, or related area. • Need to be able to pass a background and credit check. • 2 years guest service and stock experience preferred • Retail experience preferred • High school diploma or GED required

Compensation: Hourly wage of $12/hour
