It's graduation season, and in fashion school world, that means it's time for student fashion shows. Wednesday night, it was FIT's turn to present the best of its students' work at the Future of Fashion Runway Show.
We got a sneak preview of the students' work last month during the judging process, when the final 90 runway looks were selected from the 330 (!!) submitted. It was a seemingly impossible task--every single look being considered was outstanding--so it's safe to say that this runway represented the creme de la creme of FIT's fashion design program.
The judges were as impressed as we were with the caliber of talent. Kristen Shirley, market editor for Elle, told us that she really liked the lingerie; blogger BryanBoy loved the knitwear. But Alana Kelen, stylist for VH1 and MTV, said it best: "I think that every piece in this room shows so much talent. So they all have an amazing, long career ahead of them, I'm sure."
From evening gowns to childrenswear, check out some of our favorite looks from FIT's Future of Fashion runway show, including the award-winning designs and some seriously adorable little kids!:
