YES. H&M has just announced its latest designer collaboration and it's with the purveyor of Parisian chic and unofficial outfitter of models-off-duty, Isabel Marant.
"H&M works with the best designers, and this invitation is an exciting honor," Marant said in a release. "I aim at creating something real--something women want to wear in their everyday lives--with a certain carefree style. I think this is very Parisian: You dress up, but don’t pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be combined following one’s own instincts, and my take on fashion is all about personality."
The collection will hit 250 H&M stores as well as the brand's website on November 14.
"I really tried to do the essence of my style," Marant said. "It's an ideal wardrobe that you can do a lot with."
Just when we thought we'd hit total designer collab fatigue, H&M pulls this little trick out of its hat--and we're so glad it did. Unlike H&M's last collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela, which appealed to a very in-the-know avant garde kind of shopper, this should be a more accessible collaboration and as Isabel Marant fan girls, we're pretty damn excited about it. Marant does the perfect cropped jeans and leather pants, the almost-sheer tee shirt that just happens to always fall off one shoulder, and the flirty mini-dress better than anyone--but at prices that are prohibitive for most folks. We're hoping all these things make their way into her H&M collab.
