If there's one thing we've learned from Adam Levine and Leondardo DiCaprio it's that devoted modelizers will, perhaps inevitably, wind up dating their ex's friends. Naomi Campbell's ex-boyfriend Vladimir Doronin has now gone one step further and started dating his ex's protege, according to the Daily Mail.
Dronin was photographed kissing 25-year-old model Luo Zilin, who just so happens to have been mentored by Campbell on her modeling reality tv competition show The Face. The pair is also said to be hanging out with DiCaprio, with whom Dronin has recently become close. Modelizers travel in packs, we guess.
"It's fair to say that Luo and Vlad met through Naomi, it's really unprofessional of Luo and it's not great behavior on Vlad's behalf," a source told the Daily Mail.
But Zilin, who is also a former Miss Universe China, chose the wrong supermodel ex to mess with. Shortly after news of her and Dronin's romance broke, Zilin's model agency MIX Model Management NYC dropped the model.
"'Zi Lin's contract with MIX Model Management NYC was terminated last week due to ongoing unprofessional conduct and unacceptable work ethic," the firm's president Neal Hamil told the Daily Mail.
Her former The Face teammates aren't too impressed either. Jocelyn Chew, who, like Silin, was on Campbell's team on The Face, today tweeted: "I'm completely shocked/disgusted W my 'teammate' Zilin. Never judge a book by it's cover. #truecolors love you @naomicampbell"
And, if Dronin's extracurricular activities are anything to go by, many more aspiring models might be out of a job soon. The Russian billionaire was photographed with a Naomi Campbell lookalike just last month.
Well, at least Campbell hasn't thrown her phone at them... yet.
