This sale season has been particularly good, hasn't it? (A little too good.) I'm sure you've spent as many hours as I have on J.Crew, Madewell and Net-a-Porter deciding between a Band of Outsiders blazer and Leah's perfect pajama dress.
I chose the dress, because the Band-heavy Net-a-Porter sale just closed. Gah. And J.Crew says that the "extra 30% off sale items ends today." Argh. Yet there's still fantastic news: tons of other sales are happening, and they're really good. Here are eight great ones I've been shopping. Because, you know, it's my job....
Store: Need Supply Deal: up to 50% off spring and summer merchandise Dhani really likes this store, which has an in-real-life location in Richmond, Virginia. And basically anything Dhani likes I want to buy, because she has really good taste. They've got a good mix of contemporary and accessible brands. Right now, I'm considering TBA's Delia dress (marked down to $133.99 from $315) and Kitsune's "Monsieur" t-shirt ($74.99 from $99).
Store: Colette Deal: up to 50% off clothes and accessories, 75% off beauty The soldes in France come but twice a year, and I'm never actually in Paris when they happen. But luckily I spend way too much time looking at clothes on the internet and noticed that (rightfully) famed French concept boutique Colette is hosting an online sale. A Reed Krakoff boxer bag is marked down to $828 (from $1,656—at the current exchange rate), while a ton of Alaia pieces are marked below $1,000. (Yeah, still expensive, but A-lai-a.)
Store: Totokaelo Deal: up to 50% off spring and summer merchandise There's a pattern forming here, and it's that one-off brick-and-mortar boutiques often have amazing online sales. Totokaelo, located in Seattle, stocks a wonderful mix of brands: Won Hundred, Rachel Comey and Wood Wood, to name a few. I'm currently eyeing a pair of Robert Clergerie slip-on white oxfords ($297.50, from $595) and a twist-front dress by Christian Wijnants ($321, from $642).
Shop: Maryam Nassir Zadeh Sale: up to 75% off spring and summer merchandise This forward-thinking Lower East Side boutique has a ton of stuff marked down right now and in particular, an impressive stock of Dieppa Restrepo shoes. I really like the oxfords done in a greenish-gray color they're calling "shark". ($189, from $299.)
Shop: Stella McCartney Sale: up to 60% off spring and summer merchandise I don't own a ton of Stella McCartney stuff—because I'm not Gwyneth Paltrow—but I do have a pretty peachy-pink short suit that I bought at one of her sample sales four years ago, and I still wear it every summer. If you need a professional dress that isn't going to date but still looks cool, it might be worth checking out this sale. The "Mix Cady Collins" dress, marked down to $372 from $930, is perfect for that sort of thing.
Shop: Dorothy Perkins Sale: up to 70% off already affordable stuff (plus, you can get 25% more off if you sign up for the newsletter) Dorothy Perkins is one of those UK high-street stores that can't touch Topshop in coolness or Zara in fashion cred, yet there's always something cute worth purchasing. Right now, a light-wash denim dress is marked down to $29 from $59, and a pink and grey bomber jacket is reduced to $17 from $57. Not bad.
Shop: American Apparel Sale: up to 90% off Remember when American Apparel didn't have sales? Well, now they do. And you can get seriously deep discounts on pretty much every category they offer, from women's underwear to doggy t-shirts. (If you have a big dog, there's a ringer tee on sale for $2.) There are also some classic pieces marked down, like this oxford shirt, which is currently $39 (from $58).
Kate Spade Saturday Sale: up to 50% off spring merchandise Kate Spade Saturday only launched in the spring, so the brand is not heavily marketing its sale. But it is indeed happening. An adorable striped bikini is only $40 ($20 for the top, $20 for the bottom). And a boxy crop top in the brand's fun "pick-up sticks" print is marked down to $49, from $70. I'm a big fan of this collection—I've bought a ton of stuff—and the sale just makes me want to buy more.
