Claire Danes was always Angela Chase to us--until she become Carrie Mathison on Showtime's brilliant show Homeland.

For its August cover story, Vogue seemed to have some trouble differentiating between the actress and the character as well--the glossy tapped Annie Leibovitz to photograph Danes with her co-star Damian Lewis in set-ups that recall actual scenes from the show between Carrie and Brody. The main difference being that they both look incredible--a lot less sleep-deprived at least.

And Carrie has traded in her boring black pantsuits for Victoria Beckham, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Manolo Blahnik.

Sadly the interview is devoid of any '90s fashion nostalgia or lessons in lipstick or growing out your eyelashes, but it's still good, and details her comeback (she had trouble landing roles following 2010's Temple Grandin), becoming a mom, meeting Barack Obama and more. You can read it here.
