That’s because Formichetti will no longer be styling the pop star–and he sounds relieved.
In an interview with Formichetti WWD published this morning, the former Mugler creative director said his expanded role at Uniqlo and new one at Diesel leave him without enough time to attend to his other projects, including supporting Gaga’s many–many outfit changes.
“She’s going to be my BFF forever, but my ex-assistant Brandon is heading that project,” he said. “I’m too busy with [other commitments]. I’ve done two albums with her, it’s been like five years, and you know, I’m always going to be involved somehow, but I cannot do it every day. She changes 12 times a day; it’s insane.”
Is it just us, or does it sound like he’s talking about her day-to-day life, not just her tour?
While Gaga may have pared back her look for Artpop, she’s still Gaga and it sounds like creating her wardrobe is still a full-time job–and probably a stressful one. Although if Gaga keeps doing photoshoots like these, that job could become a lot easier.
