Royal Baby's First Outfit Sells Out

Like mother, like son. When Kate Middleton wears anything she ignites a selling frenzy--it's called the "Kate Middleton Effect." So I guess it follows that the royal baby's duds would fly off shelves as well.

Like mother, like son.

When Kate Middleton wears anything she ignites a selling frenzy--it's called the "Kate Middleton Effect." And even though the blue polka dot Jenny Packham dress she wore for her first official mom appearance was a custom piece and is not being offered for sale (yet), sales of similar blue and white polka dot dresses are reportedly soaring. A printed knot-front dress by maternity brand Seraphine that the Duchess has just been photographed wearing is already on backorder "due to high demand." So we guess it follows that the Royal baby's duds would fly off shelves as well.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge is just days old, but the "outfit" he wore for his first public appearance--an aden + anais 100 percent cotton muslin swaddle from the brand's "jungle jam" collection--has already sold out in the UK. "We are truly grateful and so delighted that the couple chose to debut the prince in aden + anais, it is such an honour!" aden + anais founder Raegan Moya-Jones told The Telegraph. According to The Cut, the "super-fine merino wool christening shawl" by British knitwear company G.H. Hurt and Company in which the Royal babe was wrapped is still available. Get after it, moms!
